The lord’s prayer

I’ve heard and said the lord’s prayer for over 50 years and that’s a long time…at school, Sunday school, at church..but for some reason i sometimes forget a small part of it. I put it down to sometimes you can say something over and over but it still doesn’t register in the grey matter.

But it can also be when something doesn’t interest us we tend to not take notice fully, i think also it can be boring when we do the same thing, say the same thing. I’m not saying the lord’s prayer is boring but sometimes it’s good to stimulate and remind yourself what a lovely prayer it is. You can do that by listening to it in a different format, i was gifted a lovely prayer by a very spiritual lady and minister Sylvia Hobro. It’s the lord’s prayer translated from Aramaic into English and i love this translation, i wanted to share with you.

The Lord’s Prayer

O cosmic birther of all radiance and vibration, soften the ground of our being and carve out a space within us where your presence can abide.

Fill us with your creativity so that we may be empowered to bear the fruit of your mission. let each of our actions bear fruit in accordance with our desire.

Endow us with the wisdom to produce and share what each being needs to grow and flourish.

Untie the tangled threads of destiny that bind us, as we release others from the entanglement of past mistakes.

Do not let us be seduced by that which would divert us from our true purpose, but illuminate the opportunities of the present moment.

For you are the ground and the fruitful vision, the birth-power and fulfilment, as all is gathered in and made whole once again.
